Kim Woodburn of ‘How Clean is Your House’ and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ fame dies at 83

Kim Woodburn, best known for co-hosting How Clean is Your House and her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, has died aged 83 after a short illness. A statement from her representative confirmed her passing on 16 June 2025 and described her as “kind, caring, charismatic and strong.”

The late television personality rose to national fame alongside Aggie MacKenzie on Channel 4’s cleaning show, earning the affectionate title of “Queen of Clean.” Her no-nonsense attitude, signature rubber gloves, and sparkling humour made her a beloved figure across UK daytime television.

In addition to her success on How Clean is Your House, Kim Woodburn reached new audiences as runner-up on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here and third-place finalist on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, where her bold and often confrontational presence created unforgettable TV moments.

Following news of her passing, tributes have flooded social media. Her former co-star Aggie MacKenzie led the tributes, remembering Kim as a “remarkable woman with immense strength.” Fans have also shared messages of admiration, citing her impact on popular culture and her candid public persona.

Her husband, Peter Woodburn, is said to be “heartbroken” and grieving privately. A spokesperson added, “We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career. We kindly ask for time and privacy as those closest to her process the loss.”
