Khamenei reacts strongly to assassination threats from Trump, Israel
TEHRAN: Following a series of assassination threats from US President Donald Trump and Israeli leaders, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has issued a stern response.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Ayatollah Khamenei declared that Iran would respond with full force against the “terrorist Zionist regime,” vowing ruthless action against its leadership.
This comes a day after President Trump, in a separate post on social media, demanded Iran’s complete surrender, stating that he had no interest in negotiations and was committed to the total dismantling of Iran’s nuclear program.
Trump threatened the Iranian Supreme Leader, saying that he knew where Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei is, he is an easy target, but we are not killing him yet.
Earlier, there were reports that Israel had planned to assassinate the Iranian Supreme Leader, which was vetoed by the US president.
On the other hand, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has warned that if Iran fails to return to the negotiating table, the United States may take action to destroy Iran’s c.
In a televised interview, Chancellor Merz cautioned that continued escalation without diplomatic engagement could lead to a U.S. military response targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities.
He further stated that while the Israeli military lacks the necessary weapons and capability to neutralize Iran’s nuclear program, the United States possesses both the means and the firepower to do so.
