Keith Urban asked fans to stop reading too much into his lyrics after changing a few lines during his concert in Nashville.

The country star performed his song You’ll Think of Me at Bridgestone Arena on October 17 and made a few noticeable tweaks that caught the audience’s attention.

“I’ve been covering like this for a long time. Stop reading s**t into it,” he told the crowd after some fans began connecting the lyric changes to his recent split from Nicole Kidman.

In the song, the music icon added an expletive to the line, “Take your records, take your freedom, take your memories, I don’t need them, take your space and all your bulls**t reasons, but you’re gonna think about me.”

He also sang, “Take your cat and leave my sweater, ‘cause we’ve got nothing left to weather, in fact, I’ll feel a hell of a lot better, but you’ll think of me.”

His comments came after weeks of speculation about his emotional state following Kidman’s divorce filing.

However, fans have been closely analysing his every performance, especially moments that seem linked to their 19-year marriage.

During the same show, when a fan introduced herself as “Nicole,” Urban jokingly fell back on stage, earning loud laughs from the crowd.

Moreover, Urban has not publicly shared what caused the split or spoken on social media since Kidman filed for divorce on September 30.

The former couple already settled a parenting plan for their daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret and signed a marital agreement before separating.

As Urban turns 58 later this month, he seems focused on music and finding peace in this new chapter of his life.
