The close‑up photos of leading White House personalities, shared on Vanity Fair’s Instagram page, have taken social media by storm, with some users making funny comments about their appearances.
The pictures, taken by photographer Christopher Anderson as part of a series about the first year of the second Trump administration, depict every freckle, line, strand of hair, and makeup smudge on White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and others.
Because she is the administration’s mouthpiece and familiar to millions from TV, Leavitt’s photos attracted a wider reaction than those of the other figures.
As the White House press secretary, she’s famous for delivering pointed, sometimes aggressive responses to reporters, which makes some people dislike her.
“I love that cover image for her. Good work, team,” said a user commenting on Karoline Leavitt’s photo. Another said, “Genius. The injection marks really sing in this one.”
“Great detail of the gender affirming lip filler,” said another in the comments section of the post featuring Leavitt’s close-up photo.
