John Travolta wishes late wife Kelly Preston on birthday with special song

John Travolta has shared a heartfelt musical tribute to his late wife, Kelly Preston, on what would have been her 62nd birthday.
On Monday, Oct. 13, the renowned 71-year-old actor posted an Instagram reel honouring the mother of his three children, five years after her passing.
In the emotional post, the Golden Globe winner revealed a new song he had recorded for his wife, expressing his desire to share it with everyone on her special day.
“I recorded this song for Kelly and I want to share it with you all on her birthday. Happy birthday Kelly, we love you,” Travolta captioned the video, signing the message from himself, their 25-year-old daughter, Ella, and 14-year-old son, Ben.
The couple’s eldest son, Jett, tragically died in 2009 at the age of 16.
The snippet of the beautiful ballad features Travolta singing promises of eternal love, including the lines, “I’m gonna love you, like nobody’s loved you, come rain or come shine,” and “High as a mountain, and deep as a river, come rain or come shine.”
He continues the romantic theme with a steadfast commitment, “I guess when you met me, it was just, just one of those things, but don’t you ever bet me, ‘cause I’m gonna be true if you let me.”
The Grease star concludes the song with a powerful expression of commitment, “You’re gonna love me, like nobody’s loved me, come rain or come shine, happy together, unhappy together, now won’t that be fine. Days may be cloudy or sunny, we’re in or we’re out of the money, but I’m with you always, I’m with you rain or shine.”
The post also included a lovely picture of Preston, who appeared in over 60 films and television shows.
She posed outdoors, smiling radiantly, holding a bouquet of flowers on a sunny day. The actress and former model passed away at 57 on July 12, 2020, after a two-year private battle with breast cancer.
At the time, Travolta confirmed the devastating news, stating, “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.”
He added a promise to keep her memory alive, “Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered.” The couple were married for nearly three decades after first connecting in 1987.
