Jeff Buckley’s former girlfriend opened up about her relationship with the ’90s rock icon years after he passed away.

During an exclusive interview with People magazine, Rebecca Moore admitted that she has finally succumbed to the wounds and is ready to talk about his tragic death.

Moore, who remained loyal to the legend until his death, revealed that Buckley experienced “some sort of mental health struggle” ahead of his drowning in 1997.

She told the outlet, “Sorrow causes a lot of people, including myself, to kind of run and hide.”

Moore didn’t hesitate to talk about her close bond with Amy Berg, who first opened up about Buckley’s life and unfortunate death in the new documentary It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley.

She said of the Deliver Us From Evil alum, “Amy has a body of work that made me respect her, and it seemed like an honor.

“There were all these little gates I put up, but I thought, ‘How long are you going to keep everything to yourself?’ This person was so magical.

“I wanted to celebrate what was beautiful about this relationship, even though there was so much pain, and to have pride in whatever part I played.”

For the unversed, Moore met her then-boyfriend in New York in 1991, when he was an unknown singer-songwriter from L.A., and she was a backstage performance artist.
