
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has said that unity among the Muslim world has become more important than ever due to the current regional situation, adding that the ongoing tensions in the region are not in anyone’s interest.
Speaking about a recent four-nation meeting held in Islamabad, he said that the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt participated in the meeting, where the changing regional situation was discussed in detail.
According to Ishaq Dar, the meeting focused not only on the current tensions but also on their possible global impact. He said the participants stressed the importance of respecting the sovereignty and security of all countries in accordance with the United Nations Charter.
He further said that under the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan is playing an active role in promoting regional and global peace. He added that diplomatic efforts are continuing to reduce tensions through ongoing international contacts. Dar also said that Pakistan is trying to promote dialogue between Iran and the United States.
The deputy prime minister added that China is supporting Pakistan’s constructive role, and the country’s peace efforts in the region are being appreciated at the international level. He reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue its diplomatic efforts to ensure lasting peace in the region and will keep promoting cooperation among Muslim countries.
