Tehran: Iran is set to launch its satellite into space tomorrow by using a Russian Soyuz rocket. This launch is part of a multi-satellite mission from Russia’s Vostochny Cosmodrome.
According to the Tasnim News Agency, Iranian satellite will be launched on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 9:54 AM Iran time from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Russian Far East.
In this mission, the Soyuz rocket will carry two large satellites, ‘Iyonusphere-M No. 3 and 4,’ along with 18 smaller satellites into space.
This launch is part of Russia’s ongoing multi-satellite program, aimed at placing scientific, research, and commercial satellites into Earth’s orbit.
The Russian space agency installed the rocket at Vostochny’s Launch Pad 1-S on July 22 to complete preparations for the mission.
Prior to the launch, logos of the Iranian Space Agency and the Iranian Space Research Center were also affixed to the rocket, indicating Iran’s participation in the mission.
However, Russian officials have not disclosed details about the smaller satellites, such as which countries they belong to or their specific objectives.
