Iran launches missile attacks on Israeli cities Dimona and Arad; 6 killed, over 150 injured

Iran has launched missile attacks on the Israeli cities of Dimona and Arad.

Iran has launched missile attacks on the Israeli cities of Dimona and Arad, located near a major nuclear site, killing at least six people and injuring more than 150 others.

The attacks were reportedly carried out in response to strikes on Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant and Natanz Nuclear Facility. According to reports, Iran used cluster warhead missiles in the strikes, targeting the southern city of Dimona, where Israel’s main nuclear facility is located, and the nearby city of Arad. More than 150 people were reported injured in the two cities.

Iranian state television described the strikes, which took place on Saturday, as retaliation for an earlier attack on the Natanz nuclear enrichment facility. It also warned that no part of Israel is beyond the range of Iranian missiles and urged the enemy to surrender before it is too late.

The attacks have further intensified the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, which has now entered its fourth week. Israeli emergency services said at least 88 people were injured in Arad, including 10 in critical condition, while large-scale destruction was reported in the city centre.

In Dimona, 39 people were also injured, including a 10-year-old child who is said to be in critical condition. Paramedics said the child was hit by several shell fragments, while several residential buildings were heavily damaged in the missile strikes.
