Iran downs another Israeli F-35 fighter jet near Tabriz city
TEHRAN: Amid ongoing hostilities with Israel, Iran has claimed to have downed another Israeli F-35 fighter jet on Wednesday.
According to reports by Iranian state media, Iran’s air defence system successfully targeted and shot down the Israeli jet as it flew over the city of Tabriz.
This marks the fifth F-35 jet Iran claims to have brought down within its airspace during the current conflict with Israel.
The Israeli army, on the other hand, has so far denied Iranian claims.
Iran has announced that it successfully downed an Israeli drone that had entered its airspace, according to the country’s state broadcaster.
The report confirmed that Iranian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed the Hermes drone over the city of Isfahan. State media also released footage of the wreckage, stating that the drone was brought down last night.
This incident marks another escalation in the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel.
Earlier, following Iran’s claims of downing multiple Israeli F-35 stealth jets, shares of the American manufacturer responsible for producing the fifth-generation aircraft reportedly dropped by nearly 4% in a single trading day.
