India-Afghanistan propaganda network against Pakistan exposed

Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace has reportedly triggered concern in India.

Reports suggest that a coordinated plan was launched to sabotage Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in the Middle East. The campaign allegedly involved a hidden disinformation network operated jointly by India and elements in Afghanistan, using fake Iranian identities to spread anti-Pakistan propaganda online.

Investigators claim that several ghost social media accounts including pages operating under names such as “INN Iran News” and “Iran TV” were used to initiate the campaign. These accounts allegedly created a narrative designed to incite hostility against Pakistan by falsely accusing it of assisting the United States in oil supply operations.

According to findings, dozens of accounts presenting themselves as Iranian users were actually being operated from India and Afghanistan. Analysts say the accounts responsible for shaping the narrative were mainly controlled from India, while accounts based in Afghanistan were used to spread and amplify the propaganda.

The campaign reportedly followed a structured “Initiator → Proliferator → Amplifier” model, a tactic commonly associated with coordinated information warfare. Experts believe the aim was to portray Pakistan as anti-Iran and aligned with Western agendas, thereby creating mistrust within the Muslim world and undermining Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts.

Further analysis suggests that the platform “Times of Iran News” played a central role as a propaganda hub, allegedly operating from India while spreading misleading content globally.

Security and media analysts say the disinformation operation appears to be part of a broader attempt to destabilize regional diplomacy and increase tensions in the Middle East. They believe the ultimate objective was to weaken Pakistan’s credibility as a key player in peace negotiations and create divisions among regional countries.

Experts have urged the public to remain vigilant against fake narratives and coordinated propaganda campaigns, emphasizing that such information warfare poses a direct threat not only to Pakistan but also to regional peace and stability.
