I was very proud of those guys

“I was amazed that it was in the middle of broad daylight. Insane”, Clooney said, admiring the thieves’ exceution

George Clooney speaks out after $100 million worth of historic French jewels were stolen from the Louvre Museum in Paris. The actor was seemingly impressed with the high-profile robbery.

Renowned for playing the casino thief Danny Ocean in the Ocean’s Eleven franchise, Clooney addressed the situation at a recent red carpet event for his new film Jay Kelly.

“It was cool,” Clooney told Variety, regarding last Sunday’s heist. “I mean, it’s terrible. But if you’re a professional thief like I am, I was very proud of those guys.”

Additionally, he wondered whether authorities will be able to catch the thieves. Officials did arrest two suspects in connection with the heist on Sunday.

“They seem to have done a pretty good job at getting away with it”, he explained.

Clooney also discussed the latest installment of the Ocean’s series, which he has teased for the last few weeks. “I think we should rob the Louvre,” he suggested. “But somebody’s already done it, man, I dunno.” “I think you gotta put me in, CGI me into that basket coming out of the Louvre”, he added.

While talking to Entertainment Tonight, he lauded the thieves’ execution saying, “I was amazed that it was in the middle of broad daylight. Insane”.
