During Ramadan, the weather across the country is expected to remain pleasant, with cool nights and gradually rising daytime temperatures.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) through its National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) has released an assessment of the possible weather conditions during the holy month. According to the NEOC, daytime temperatures are likely to increase gradually, while nights will remain relatively cool.
First Ten Days
During the first ten days of Ramadan, most areas are expected to experience dry and pleasant weather. Light rainfall may occur in northern and western regions. Nights in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and northern Balochistan are expected to remain particularly cool.
Second Ten Days
In the second ten days, the weather is likely to become slightly warmer. Scattered rainfall is possible in northern areas, central Punjab, and Potohar. Some regions may experience strong winds along with rain and thunderstorms.
Last Ten Days
During the final ten days, intermittent rain is expected in different parts of the country. Northern areas and central Punjab may see occasional showers, while southern Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan are likely to experience increasing heat toward the end of Ramadan.
Karachi Weather
In Karachi, light rainfall is only slightly possible during the first ten days. Meteorological authorities have indicated that a new western weather system may enter the country, causing light drizzle in the city. However, this is not expected to bring any significant change to the generally warm and dry weather. During the first twenty days of Ramadan, temperatures in Karachi are expected to range between 32°C and 34°C.
