Govt lifts ban on MJTV and Asad Toor’s YouTube channels
On July 11, 2025, the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad officially lifted the ban on the YouTube channels of Matiullah Jan (MJTV) and Asad Toor.
On July 8, 2025, the government of Pakistan blocked 27 YouTube channels, claiming they promoted false narratives, incited public unrest, and provoked hostility toward state institutions and public representatives.
Authorities claimed that content shared on these channels caused unnecessary public panic. However, after reviewing the case, the government has now canceled the block order against the YouTube channels of MJTV and Asad Toor.
