Islamabad: National boxer Shahzaib Rind’s frustration over unfulfilled government pledges has caught the attention of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who has now taken strict notice of the matter.
Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has issued an apology to Rind for the significant delay in delivering promised rewards.
Atta Tarar expressed deep regret on social media platform X, stating, “We are truly sorry for this unjust delay and are ashamed of it.” He emphasized, “Athletes like you are our genuine heroes. We wholeheartedly appreciate your achievements; you have elevated the nation’s honor, and we are all incredibly proud of you.”

The Federal Minister also revealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has not only taken strict notice of the failure to fulfill commitments made to Rind but has also directed that such errors not be repeated in the future. Tarar assured that the issue would be resolved promptly.
It’s worth noting that national boxer Shahzaib Rind had previously criticized the government for the broken promises by various officials and personalities.
In a social media post, Rind labeled politicians as “corrupt” and highlighted that the Prime Minister had announced a cash prize of PKR 5 million for him, along with PKR 80 million for his training program. Rind, however, stated that he had not received a single penny from the amount announced by the Prime Minister.
