KARACHI: The gold prices in Pakistan have reached an all-time high following a sharp increase, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association(APGJA).
The association reported that the price of gold per tola rose by Rs7,700, taking it to a record Rs480,962 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs6,602 to reach Rs412,347.
In the international market, gold prices also climbed significantly, rising by $77 to $4,586 per ounce.
Meanwhile, economic experts have warned that escalating tensions between Iran and the United States could lead to a further increase in fuel prices in the coming days.
Earlier, gold prices continued their upward trend across Pakistan, rising by thousands of rupees for the second consecutive day.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association(APGJA), the price of gold increased by Rs 3,400 per tola nationwide, taking the new rate to Rs 469,562 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs 2,915 to reach Rs 402,573.
Meanwhile, in the international market, gold prices climbed by $34, with the metal trading at $4,472 per ounce.
