Gas pipeline blow up in Lakki Marwat

PESHAWAR: A gas pipeline was blown up in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here on Wednesday.

Police officials said unidentified attackers had planted explosives on the pipeline in the Bhana Manjiwala area, causing it to blow up.

Authorities added that a search operation is underway in the area to locate the culprits.

It is worth noting that on July 16, 2025, a gas pipeline carrying supply from Lakki Marwat’s Wanda Amir area to Punjab was blown up, disrupting the supply.

Police had confirmed that terrorists planted explosives on the main transmission gas pipeline near a stormwater drain between Wanda Amir and Dabak Mandrakhel, destroying it in a midnight blast.

According to officials, the explosion created a large crater at the site, and the damage to the pipeline halted gas supply from the district to Punjab.
