The first nationwide anti-polio campaign of 2026 concluded today, successfully vaccinating more than 44.1 million children across Pakistan during the six-day drive.
According to the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC), over 22.9 million children were administered polio drops in Punjab. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, nearly 7.1 million children received the vaccine.
In Sindh, more than 10.4 million children were vaccinated, while approximately 2.324 million children were covered in Balochistan.
The campaign also reached over 455,000 children in Islamabad, more than 261,000 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and over 673,000 children in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The NEOC advised parents to contact the polio team by calling the helpline at 1166 or sending a WhatsApp message to 0346-7776546 for assistance or information.
