ISLAMABAD: The repatriation of Pakistani pilgrims from Saudi Arabia will officially begin on June 11, according to Aftab Gilani, Airport Manager at Islamabad International Airport.
He stated that the first post-Hajj flight is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad from Jeddah at 3:00 AM on June 11.
“The inaugural return flight will bring back 307 pilgrims who performed the short-duration Hajj package,” said Gilani.
The post-Hajj operation will continue until July 10, with regular flights bringing pilgrims back to various cities across Pakistan, he added.
According to Gilani, flights returning to Islamabad from Medina will also begin arriving after one week. During this month-long operation over 30,000 pilgrims are expected to return to Islamabad.
Aftab Gilani assured that all arrangements at Islamabad International Airport are complete for the post-Hajj operation.
