FIA Peshawar busts human trafficking network

PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Peshawar has arrested three key members of a human trafficking network during a targeted operation.

According to the FIA Spokesperson, the action was carried out on a tip-off against an organized group involved in human smuggling. The arrested suspects have been identified as Saddam, Darish Muhammad, and Muhammad Ilyas. The arrests were made during a raid at Deen Trade Center in Peshawar.

According to a preliminary investigation, the accused Saddam was involved in human trafficking from Libya to Peshawar. The accused was found involved in collecting millions of rupees from the victims.

Five Pakistani passports were recovered from the accused in the raid, Darish Mohammad and Mohammad Ilays were arrested from Peshawar on the identification of the accused Saddam, evidence of human trafficking was recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects.

The spokesman added that evidence has also been obtained from the suspects regarding international smuggling network contacts and departure plans for Europe, and raids are underway to arrest other associates of the arrested suspects.
