
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has surpassed its revenue collection target for the first month of the current fiscal year by Rs6.4 billion.
According to official data, FBR collected Rs754.4 billion in July 2025 against a target of Rs748 billion, achieving 100.9% of the monthly goal.
The report highlights that the highest contribution came from sales tax, which accounted for Rs304 billion in revenue collection.
Income tax collection stood at Rs323 billion, making it the second-highest contributor after sales tax.
Additionally, customs duties brought in Rs113 billion, while Rs46 billion was collected under federal excise duty (FED).
According to the report, tax refunds of Rs 81 billion were paid during the month of July. The total grass collection in terms of tax revenue was 835 billion this month.
