
Karachi secures a four-wicket victory as Lahore Qalandars’ batter denies the charge following a five-run penalty.
Lahore Qalandars batsman Fakhar Zaman has been accused of a Level 3 charged under Article 2.14 of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, for allegedly contravening Article 41.3 of the playing conditions, which forbids any action that changes the condition of the ball.
Fakhar denied the allegations during an initial disciplinary hearing led by match referee Roshan Mahanama. A final hearing is set within 48 hours, after which Mahanama will deliver the verdict.
In a related ruling, Karachi Kings quick Hasan Ali accepted a 10% match fee fine for a Level 1 breach under Article 2.5. His infraction: using provocative language, actions, or gestures toward Lahore’s Haseebullah on the last ball of the 19th over.
