Emiru accuses Mizkif of sexual assault, abuse, and blackmail threats following TwitchCon incident

Twitch streamer Emiru has accused fellow content creator Mizkif of psychological and domestic abuse, stalking, harassment, sexual assault, and blackmail threats during a livestream on October 25.

“Today I’m finally going to be opening up about the psychological and domestic abuse, stalking and harassment, sexual assault, and threats of blackmail that Mizkif has done towards me and some of these issues which are still ongoing,” Emiru, real name Emily Schunk, told viewers.

The two previously lived together in Austin, Texas, as part of the OTK streaming community. Emiru said she had tried to stay silent for most of the year but felt compelled to speak out after hearing of alleged new incidents involving Mizkif.

She described one alleged assault, stating Mizkif “tried to comfort me, by hugging me, while I was sitting on the couch… and then suddenly, he tried to climb on top of me and aggressively shoved his hand down my pants, and I screamed.”

Emiru also alleged Mizkif made indirect threats through others and had discussed a smear campaign should she reveal her experiences. “At TwitchCon, he approached one of my employees, threatening them and saying if I ever talked about him, he would destroy me,” she claimed.

According to Emiru, Mizkif intended to accuse her of harming her pets, saying “his plan was to claim that I kill animals and that I killed my own rabbits.” She said she has consulted a lawyer and plans to file restraining orders in California and Texas.

Emiru’s allegations come a week after she was assaulted by a stranger at TwitchCon 2025. The following controversy involves statements from Twitch and the CEO Dan Clancy, admitting failure of security and vowing to improve their efforts to better protect streamers.
