‘Emily in Paris’ producer weighs in on exciting new destination for season 6
Emily in Paris producer Andrew Fleming has weighed in on potential plans for a major relocation following the show’s season 5 finale.
As fans will recall, the closing moments of season 5 appeared to set the stage for Emily’s love life to take a dramatic turn, teasing a new chapter that could unfold in Greece after her brief romantic detour in Italy.
Now, offering more insight into what could be next, Fleming spoke to Us Weekly about the show’s future and the possibility of expanding beyond its Parisian roots, should the series be renewed.
“Assuming we’re picked up, I want to go back to Paris,” the director and executive producer explained. “But I want to go other places too.”
He went on to confirm that the season 5 ending was deliberately designed to spark curiosity about what lies ahead.
“It’s teased where we might end up going at the end of season 5 — there’s a possibility we’ll be going there, to Greece,” Fleming shared.
The idea of a Mediterranean relocation has already generated excitement among the cast.
Moreover, Samuel Arnold, who plays fan-favourite Julian, admitted he would be more than happy to pack his bags if Greece becomes the show’s next filming destination.
“I am not going to lie,” Arnold told the outlet.
“If they want to shoot in Greece, whatever the reason I say, ‘Let’s go.’ I’ve never been to Greece,” Arnold concluded.
