Dumper truck overturn in Karachi, two dead
Karachi: A tragic accident near Drigh Road claimed the lives of a woman and a young girl, while two others sustained injured after a heavily loaded dumper overturned onto a double-cabin vehicle.
According to the police sources, the dumper, carrying gravel and crushed stone, was speeding when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The dumper toppled over the double-cabin vehicle .
Victims were reportedly members of the same family, residents of Scheme 33.
Rescue teams and police arrived promptly at the scene, shifted the deceased and injured to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medical treatment and legal formalities.
Eyewitnesses reported that the dumper driver fled the scene immediately after the crash. Police have impounded the vehicle and launched a manhunt to apprehend the suspect.
