Fans eagerly anticipating the next chapter of Spider-Man can breathe a sigh of relief, as director Destin Daniel Cretton has confirmed that Spider-Man 4 has officially wrapped filming. The highly anticipated film, which is part of the expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.

In a heartfelt message posted on Instagram, Cretton expressed his gratitude for everyone involved in bringing the film to life. “I’m so deeply grateful for the people who walked with me through the biggest, most rewarding film I’ve ever been a part of,” he wrote.

The director also took a moment to praise lead actor Tom Holland, who returns to portray Peter Parker. “Thank you, Tom, for your kind, generous leadership on and off screen, your relentless work ethic, your fearless performances, and your friendship,” Cretton said. Holland’s portrayal of Spider-Man has earned him widespread acclaim, and it seems his work behind the scenes has earned just as much praise from Cretton.

Along with his thanks to Holland, Cretton expressed deep appreciation for the entire cast and crew. “I love you all so much and can’t wait for the world to see your stunning work on the big screen,” he added. The director also paid tribute to the film’s cast for bringing life to the iconic characters and to the crew for their tireless work.

“To our amazing crew, who worked tirelessly with unmatched creativity and craftsmanship, who made me laugh so hard my stomach never stopped hurting,” Cretton wrote, a nod to the close-knit and positive atmosphere on set.
