Diddy plots major comeback with concert at Madison Square Garden

Sean “Diddy” Combs isn’t letting a potential 20-year sentence stop him from dreaming big.

Though he currently sits behind bars as he awaits his October 3rd sentencing, the hip-hop mogul, 54, is reportedly already planning a comeback concert at the coveted venue of Madison Square Garden.

On August 6, Combs’ lead attorney Marc Agnifilo told CBS News‘ Jericka Duncan that though the Bad Boy Records founder is determined to one of the biggest stages in the entertainment industry.

“One thing [Combs] said… He’s going to be back at Madison Square Garden,” Agnifilo revealed. “I guess being on stage, and I said, ‘I’ll be there.’”

While Combs hasn’t directly discussed “getting back into music,” the intention is clear, according to his lawyer.

“I think he is someone who’s always going to strive to do something, you know, exceptional and probably demanding and challenging.”

Last month, Combs was acquitted of the most serious charges — sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy — in his federal trial. But he was convicted of two counts of transportation for prostitution, each carrying up to 10 years in prison.

Despite the looming sentence, Agnifilo says Combs is focused on rebuilding his life and relationships.

“He wants people to know that he has reflected on “the blessings that he’s been given, the imperfections that I think he sees in himself,” the attorney said.

But Combs’ priority is his family. “He wants to get out of jail, reestablish a loving, present relationship with all of his seven children. He wants to take care of his mother,” Agnifilo said.
