Delta Air Lines has reportedly announced additional flight cancellations at its Atlanta hub across the US East Coast as Winter Storm Fern intensifies. These adjustments include disruptions at its Boston and New York hubs as the airline continues to realign schedules in response to the storm.
According to the recent reports, ice accumulations are expected to affect Atlanta on Sunday, along with major snowfall in the Northeast expected to begin Sunday afternoon.
As reported by Reuters, the storm is disrupting US air travel, prompting airlines to cancel flights, and issue travel waivers as ice, snow winds sweep across major hubs and regional airports in the South, East and central parts of the US.
Given the serious situation, Delta urged passengers on Friday to reschedule their flights as a major winter storm peaked, disrupting operations and forcing widespread cancellations.
The airline has informed customers to expect disruptions across the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys, including Nashville and Ralrigh-Durham, as the Winter Storm Fern storm threatens to derail weekend travel.
