D4vd’s friend Neo Langston arrested on warrant for failing to appear in Celeste Rivas homicide case
A popular Twitch streamer and friend of singer D4vd has been arrested in Montana after allegedly failing to appear as a witness in a Los Angeles homicide investigation.
Neo Langston, 23, was taken into custody on January 22 at his mother’s home on an unspecified warrant issued by the Los Angeles Police Department. Jail records and court documents obtained by KTVH indicate that Langston was booked for failing to comply with a mandated court appearance as a witness in an ongoing homicide probe.
Authorities have not confirmed which specific case Langston was expected to testify in. However, his arrest comes amid a high-profile investigation involving his friend D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. D4vd is a person of interest in the killing of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas in Los Angeles.
In September, Rivas’ dismembered remains were discovered inside an abandoned Tesla registered to D4vd at an impound lot in the Hollywood Hills. Rivas had been missing for more than a year before the discovery. D4vd was touring outside California at the time the body was found, but police later linked him to the investigation after more than two months of inquiry, stating they believe he did not act alone.
Investigators have examined lyrics from one of D4vd’s unreleased songs referencing a person named Celeste, a matching tattoo, and a previous Twitch stream in which a girl resembling Rivas appeared as a guest.
A grand jury has already convened, and multiple witnesses have testified. On December 10, one witness was described as “uncooperative” following a hallway exchange between a deputy district attorney and the witness’s lawyer, according to TMZ. It remains unclear whether Langston was the individual referenced.
TMZ reported that Langston was released after posting $60,000 bail early Saturday morning. Rivas’ cause of death has not yet been disclosed, with officials citing the condition of her remains. No arrests have been made in connection with the homicide, and D4vd has reportedly stopped cooperating with investigators.
