CSS 2026: FPSC shares exam schedule

CSS 2026: FPSC shares exam schedule

The Federal Public Service Commission has shared the schedule for the CSS 2026 exams through an early notice.

According to the commission, a public notice to invite online applications for the MCQ-based preliminary test (MPT) will be issued on August 10, 2025.

Candidates can apply for the MPT from August 11 to August 25, 2025. Those who pass the MPT will be eligible to submit their applications for the written CSS exam, which will be accepted from December 15 to December 30, 2025. The written exams will start on February 4, 2026.

The CSS exam is an important way to join top federal departments in Pakistan, such as administration, foreign affairs, customs, and others. It mostly attracts fresh graduates and young professionals. The exam has strict rules about age and the number of times a person can take it.

However, some changes have been made to make it easier. With approval from the National Assembly, the maximum age limit has been increased from 30 to 35 years, and one extra attempt has been allowed. These changes will take effect from the 2026 exams.
