Roan announced the end of her professional relationship with the talent agency through a statement on Instagram
Chappell Roan has ended her professional relationship with talent agency Wasserman following the appearance of its chief executive, Casey Wasserman, in the Epstein files released last week.
The Grammy-winning artist confirmed the decision on Monday through a statement shared on Instagram. “As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman,” she wrote.

Roan explained that her departure was rooted in concerns about values and accountability within the industry. “No artist, agent or employee should be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values,” she stated. She added that she holds her professional teams to high standards and feels a responsibility to protect them.
The decision followed reports that Roan was expected to cut ties with the agency after messages linked to Wasserman and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein ally Ghislaine Maxwell became public. Roan said she had “deep respect and appreciation” for the agents and staff at the firm but refused to “passively stand by”.
Her exit comes amid growing internal pressure on Wasserman from senior figures within his agency. Wasserman acquired the music business from Paradigm in 2021, expanding beyond its sports-focused origins.
Roan is not alone in distancing herself from the agency. Indie rock band Wednesday announced on Monday that they are “extracting” themselves from Wasserman, while Best Coast frontwoman Bethany Cosentino has publicly urged Wasserman to step down. Billie Eilish previously left the agency last year.
