Bridgerton honors Nicholas Braimbridge and Tony Cooper

The Season 4 finale of Bridgerton, which premiered on February 26, paid a heartfelt tribute to two cherished members of its production team.

Just before the end credits rolled, an on-screen message appeared reading: “In loving memory of Nicholas Braimbridge and Tony Cooper.” The tribute quickly drew attention from fans, sparking conversations across social media about the lasting contributions of the two behind-the-scenes talents.

Tony Cooper

Tony Cooper was an accomplished industry professional whose work extended far beyond Bridgerton. He also contributed to its prequel series, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

Over the years, Cooper built an impressive résumé, working on major productions including Mission: Impossible, Venom, Black Widow, Ready Player One, The Batman, and the final three installments of the Harry Potter franchise.

His credits also included Netflix originals such as The Crown and Damsel. In addition to his production work, Cooper briefly ventured into acting, appearing as Ebenezer Scrooge in the 2023 short film Scrooge v. Santa.

Nicholas Braimbridge

Nicholas Braimbridge, from Camden Town, England, was widely respected as a master of marbling and wood grain finishes. Colleagues described him as a “highly talented scenic artist” whose decades-long career brought a distinctive artistic perspective to every project he touched.

He began his career specializing in intricate decorative painting for properties across London before transitioning into set design and scenic artistry for television and film. His craftsmanship contributed to some of the most visually striking drama productions in recent years.

Braimbridge passed away in May 2025, a year after losing his wife to cancer. He is survived by his two teenage daughters, Flora and Amelia.

The tribute in Bridgerton’s finale serves as a poignant reminder that while actors often take center stage, the artistry and dedication of behind-the-scenes professionals like Cooper and Braimbridge are integral to bringing beloved stories to life.
