LAHORE – A splendid performance by Matthew Breetzke guided South Africa to set a target of 150 runs in second match of the tri-nation series at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Monday.
Opener Breetzke set world record to smash 150 runs on debut as he hit 11 fours and 5 sixes in his fiery knock.
Temba Bavuma and Jason Smit scored 20 and 41 runs, respectively while Wiaan Mulder made 64 runs, helping their side to set a challenging total.
Confident New Zealand decided to field first after winning the toss, sending South Africa to bat.
The game follows Kiwis victory over Pakistan, in series opener over the weekend. As the two teams gear up for an exciting contest, fans are eagerly awaiting to see if South Africa can set a competitive total for New Zealand to chase.
