
A remote-controlled bomb exploded near a police mobile van in Rustam Bazaar, Wana, in the Lower South Waziristan district, killing two people and injuring 14 others, including two police officers.
According to DSP Imranullah, the explosion was carried out using a remote-controlled device, targeting the police vehicle. In response, an emergency has been declared at DHQ Hospital Wana.
All the injured were shifted to the hospital, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
On the other side, three soldiers of the Pakistan Army were martyred when terrorists attacked a security forces’ vehicle with a roadside bomb (IED) in Mastung, Balochistan, on the night of August 5.
