Banks to Remain Closed on Thursday

The State Bank of Pakistan, along with its related offices and all public and private banks and financial institutions, will remain closed on Thursday, December 25, due to the public holiday observed for Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.

In a statement issued by the SBP on Monday, it was confirmed that the central bank, its allied offices, and all banking institutions will resume normal operations on Friday, December 26.

The press release stated that the closure on December 25, 2025, has been announced by the Government of Pakistan in observance of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.
