Bahraini intelligence authorities have arrested an Indian national working as a telecommunications engineer on charges of allegedly transmitting sensitive information to Israel’s external intelligence agency, Mossad.
According to preliminary reports, the suspect, identified as Nitin Mohan, was detained after authorities uncovered evidence suggesting he had shared sensitive geospatial data, photographs, and video reconnaissance of strategic locations within Bahrain.
Investigators believe the material included site imagery and operationally relevant information that could potentially assist foreign intelligence agencies in conducting analysis and developing targeting assessments.
Sources familiar with the investigation stated that the data allegedly transmitted could have provided detailed insight into critical infrastructure and other strategic areas.
Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior has confirmed the arrest of the Indian national. However, officials have not yet disclosed further technical or investigative details about the case, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
Authorities are continuing their inquiry to determine the full scope of the alleged intelligence breach, including whether additional individuals may have been involved or if more sensitive information was compromised.
Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
