ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo debuts buzz cut and bids fans goodbye ahead of military enlistment

ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo starts military enlistment on July 28, entering as an active-duty soldier in the Army military band. Ahead of his service, the singer-actor reassured fans with a packed lineup of projects across music, television, and film.
Through a fan platform, Cha shared, “I miss Aroha… But with the album, movie, and drama all coming out, don’t forget me.” He accompanied the message with photos of his freshly shaved head and daily routines, showing his usual charisma even in uniform-ready form.
Before enlistment, Cha held solo fan meetings in Seoul and Japan titled “The Royal,” giving supporters a final chance to see him live. He also wrapped up ASTRO’s group activities and is preparing to release a solo album in September, following his 2024 debut which featured self-written tracks.
Fans can also look forward to his upcoming Netflix drama The Wonderfuls, a comic-action series set in 1999, co-starring Park Eun-bin, Kim Hae-sook, and Son Hyun-joo. Additionally, Cha leads First Ride, his debut feature film about a group of friends on their first international trip, where he plays an aspiring DJ alongside Kang Ha-neul and Kim Young-kwang.
With multiple pre-recorded releases scheduled, Cha’s presence will remain strong throughout his military hiatus.
