Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max: Latest Leaks uncover stunning new features and price
Fresh leaks have surfaced around the highly anticipated Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 series, revealing possible pricing, design changes, and key upgrades.
Weibo user Instant Digital, known for occasionally accurate Apple leaks, recently claimed that the iPhone 17 Pro Max could feature a groundbreaking 5,000mAh battery, exceeding the current iPhone 16 Pro Max’s 4,676mAh capacity.
This development supports long-standing rumors that Apple will increase the device’s thickness, with the new model expected to measure 8.725mm—up from the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s 8.25mm—to accommodate the larger battery.
Although the thickness increases by less than half a millimeter, it could significantly improve battery life, a top priority for users, even over new features.
According to MacRumors, the iPhone 16 Pro Max delivers 33 hours of battery life, up from 29 hours on the iPhone 14 Pro Max. With an extra 300mAh, the iPhone 17 Pro Max could push that figure to 35 hours or more.
However, 9to5Mac warns that a 10% increase in battery capacity won’t necessarily translate into proportional battery life gains, as power demands can vary. William Gallagher from Apple Insider adds that while features like vapor chamber cooling may not affect battery consumption, other enhancements could offset any improvements.
Apple is also expected to evolve the iPhone 17 design, with both the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max rumored to feature three 48-megapixel rear cameras and a 24-megapixel front camera, although no specific differences between the two camera setups have been confirmed.
Reports have debunked speculation about a unique Dynamic Island size for the Pro Max, indicating that the Pro and Pro Max will likely share similar designs, aside from the larger battery in the Pro Max.
As Apple gears up for a September launch, it has kept iPhone 17 pricing details under wraps. However, its emphasis on enhanced battery capacity and design signals a premium offering that could raise expectations for the entire series.
