
Lahore: Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued a fresh alert for another powerful spell of monsoon across the Punjab, land sliding also reported in Murree and Galyat.
According to the spokesman of PDMA Punjab, another spell of monsoon rains will start from July 28, with rainfall is expected in most districts of Punjab from July 28 to 31.
PDMA spokesman says, rain are likely to expected in Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Gujarat, Gujranwala and Hafizabad.
Under the new spell, rains are also likely in Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad and Okara.
According to the PDMA Punjab, there may be rains in Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Bahawalpur, Pakpattan, Vehari, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh and Rajanpur from July 29 to 31.
PDMA warns for heavy rains are at risk of land sliding in Murree and Galyat, with rains feared damage to raw houses and troubled buildings.
It may be recalled that during the last spell of Punjab rains, 252 people were killed in various accidents while a large number of homes and roads were also damaged.
