Angela Bassett gets emotional as Courtney B. Vance receives Walk of Fame star

Angela Bassett is gushing over her actor husband Courtney B. Vance as the artist received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 65-year-old actor was joined by Bassett and their two kids, daughter Brownyn, son Slater at his Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony.

During the event, the 67-year-old American actress took a moment to gush over her husband’s personality and acting skills and that his honor “is deeply deserved.”

“As an actor, Courtney is committed, relatable and deeply reliable. He shows up fully every time, onstage, on-screen, and on television, drowning each performance in emotional truth and the human complexity,” Bassett gushed.

It is pertinent to mention that Bassett and Vance have been married since 1997 and are parents of two kids: daughter Brownyn and son Slater.

The actress went on to praise, “Today’s honor is deeply deserved. This star recognizes not only his artistry, but his integrity, his generosity and his grace with which he moves through the world.”

“I’m proud of you. I love you, and I’m grateful that the world now has a star that bears your name.”

Vance’s daughter also gave a sweet tribute to her at the ceremony. She said during her speech, “Dad, you spend your life serving others. Today, as we celebrate you, I hope you’ll allow yourself to be fully celebrated.”

Vance himself expressed his gratitude for the honor and credited Bassett for his success.
