Former Duke of York Andrew has voluntarily surrendered his gun licence ahead of moving out of the Royal Lodge.
According to a report by the BBC, Princess Eugenie and Beatrice father has given up his licence over the request of police.
Following the visit of the Metropolitan Police to Royal Lodge in Windsor last month, the spokesperson for the force said: “On Wednesday, 19 November, Metropolitan Police firearms licensing officers attended an address in Windsor to request that a man in his 60s voluntarily surrender his firearms and shotgun certificate.”
The report comes hours after royal expert Rob Shuter claimed King Charles is preparing to ban Andrew from his beloved shooting weekends beginning in the new year.
The insider tells the royal expert, “Charles has decided enough is enough. Andrew’s private shooting days at Windsor and Sandringham will be over once January arrives.”
As per the expert, until now, Andrew quietly enjoyed these privileges, often inviting 20 or more friends, business contacts, and fellow landowners under the guise of a “family day.”
The source went on saying, “It was a packed social calendar disguised as shooting.”
Meanwhile, according to the Hello! despite losing access to the firearms, all of Andrew’s guns will remain on the Windsor estate, with police not seizing any of the weapons.
Meanwhile, thousands of new documents linked to the case of Jeffrey Epstein were made available Tuesday by the US Department of Justice (DOJ).
