KARACHI:
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has approved a significant move to facilitate air travel for pilgrims heading to Iran and Iraq, inviting licensed air charter operators to launch charter services on these routes.
The federal government had earlier suspended road travel between Pakistan and Iran to ensure the safety of pilgrims. In light of this, the authorities have decided to provide special air connectivity for pilgrims travelling to Iran and Iraq.
The CAA has formally invited all air operators holding valid air charter licences to initiate services between Pakistan and the two countries.
