Adil Raja placed on Fourth Schedule over anti-state activities

The federal government has placed YouTuber Adil Raja on the Fourth Schedule under the Anti-Terrorism Act, citing alleged involvement in anti-state activities, officials said on Saturday.

The decision was approved by the federal cabinet, after which the Ministry of Interior issued an official notification to enforce the decision.

According to the notification, the step was taken because Raja is accused of spreading anti-state views through online platforms.

Authorities stated that his actions were considered a serious threat to Pakistan’s security, national integrity, and public peace.

The Interior Ministry said legal action against Raja was initiated under the Anti-Terrorism Act, and placing his name on the Fourth Schedule was deemed necessary in the interest of national security and the public.

The notification also noted that any further action, if required, would be carried out strictly under the law.
