Adam Sandler, Sadie Sandler make father-daughter joke in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

Adam Sandler is keeping it all in the family in Happy Gilmore 2, and he’s not missing a chance to share a laugh about it.
The actor and comedian, now 58, brings both of his daughters and his wife into the spotlight in the much-anticipated sequel, and fans are loving the heartwarming, and humorous, touch it adds to the film.
In a clever moment near the end of the movie, Sandler’s character, Happy, shares a scene with his real-life daughter Sadie Sandler, who plays Charlotte, a member of Happy’s Alcoholics Anonymous group.
The exchange feels playful and personal.
“You’re a very cool kid,” Happy tells her. Charlotte smiles back, replying, “You’re a very cool guy. You remind me of my dad.”
Their shared smile afterward is brief but clearly meaningful—adding a sweet, meta layer for those in the know.
Sadie, 19, isn’t the only Sandler kid to land a role in the comedy sequel. Her younger sister, 16-year-old Sunny Sandler, takes on the role of Happy’s daughter, Vienna, giving her a central presence in the film.
Even Sandler’s wife, Jackie Sandler, pops in with a cameo, playing Vienna’s dance teacher. It’s a true family affair.
Speaking ahead of the film’s release, Adam opened up about what it’s been like working so closely with his daughters in a major project.
“It is just all happening fast,” he told USA Today in a July interview. “Kids are growing up − they really are into acting and movies, and it’s always been our thing to work with our friends and family.”
He didn’t shy away from expressing how much it means to him, adding, “It’s cool to see them getting better. They work hard and they go to school for it, and they love it. So, yeah, I’m just proud. Couldn’t love them more.”
For Sandler, who’s long been known for blending his personal and professional lives, Happy Gilmore 2 feels like a full-circle moment, packed with laughs, heart, and just the right touch of family pride.
