Taliban Responsible for Afghanistan’s Current Crisis: Says Ahmad Massoud

For years, they have dragged Afghanistan into security problems and geopolitical games.

Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, said on Friday during a ceremony commemorating the 31st anniversary of the killing of Abdul Ali Mazari, the former leader of the Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan, that the Taliban have sacrificed the people of Afghanistan in support of terrorist groups.

He added that by providing safe haven to groups such as Al-Qaeda, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Jaish al-Adl, Ansarullah, and other terrorist organizations, the Taliban have turned Afghanistan into a field of security and geopolitical games.

Referring to the Pakistani army’s attacks on Afghan territory, he further stated that the current situation is the result of the Taliban’s reckless actions and their support for terrorist organizations.

The main factor behind the formation of today’s crisis and all previous crises is the Taliban.

-By providing terrorist safe havens,
-by sheltering the TTP and other terrorist groups,
-by sheltering the Jaish al-Adl and other terrorist groups,
-by sheltering the Ansarullah of Tajikistan and other terrorist groups,
-and by sheltering Al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups.

For years, they have dragged Afghanistan into security problems and geopolitical games.

Without a doubt, the war that has occurred today is the result of such unwise actions.
