KARACHI: The gold prices recorded a significant increase on Tuesday in both international and local markets after witnessing a decline a day earlier.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold rose by $62 per ounce, bringing the new global rate to $5,168 per ounce.
Meanwhile, in the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs6, 200, reaching Rs539, 562.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold surged by Rs5, 316, taking it to Rs462, 587.
Silver prices also moved upward in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs460, reaching Rs9, 354, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs394 to Rs8, 019.in the Middle East.
