Gunfire erupts outside Rihanna’s Los Angeles mansion: Suspect arrested

In a shocking twist of fate, Rihanna narrowly escaped danger when gunfire erupted outside her Beverly Glen mansion in Los Angeles, throwing the normally quiet neighborhood into chaos.

Authorities say a 35-year-old woman, Ivana Lisette Ortiz, allegedly fired multiple rounds from a vehicle parked across the street, riddling the exterior of the singer’s home and nearby cars with bullets.

Remarkably, no one inside the mansion was harmed, but the sudden violence prompted a massive LAPD response that ended with Ortiz’s arrest and booking for attempted murder, with bail set at over $10 million.

Police report that the shots came from a car across the street. Multiple bullets struck the mansion’s exterior and a vehicle outside, while at least two neighboring homes were also hit. Investigators say the weapon used was an AR-style rifle, highlighting the severity of the attack.

Following the shooting, Ortiz reportedly fled in a Tesla, which was tracked by LAPD helicopters to a shopping mall parking garage, where officers detained her without incident.

Authorities are investigating whether Ortiz knew the residence belonged to Rihanna and are reviewing her background for potential motives. Ortiz has a criminal history in Florida, including multiple domestic violence incidents dating back to 2023.

Officials are also examining her social media activity, which includes a video posted on January 4 in which Ortiz said: “Listen Rihanna, when you die God is taking me to my future… yeah, she wants to kill me. Shut the [expletive] up.” Investigators continue to explore her actions and possible motives.

Rihanna was reportedly at home during the shooting. It is unclear whether her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, or their three children were present at the time. Fortunately, no injuries occurred inside the home.

Images from the scene showed bullet holes on the mansion’s front gate, later covered with tape as investigators documented the damage. Residents and passersby were stunned. Local tour guide Gavin told reporters, “I don’t know what gets into these people. I don’t know why anyone would want to harm such a sweet person like Rihanna.”

The incident underscores the unpredictable security risks faced by high-profile celebrities in Los Angeles. Authorities continue to collect evidence, interview witnesses, and investigate Ortiz’s motives.
