Washington: Donald Trump has said that the United States will continue military strikes until Iran is defeated, said that the U.S is rapidly becoming great again and his administration is doing the best work for American citizens.
Addressing a conference of Republican lawmakers, Trump said the United States is rapidly becoming great again and his administration is delivering the best results for American citizens.
The US president stated that during his first term his administration focused on strengthening the American military, while in his second term that power is now being used. He said the US military is the strongest force in the world and the entire world is now acknowledging this reality.
Trump added that the United States, together with its Israeli partners, is crushing the enemy and destroying Iran’s military capabilities. According to him, Iran’s drone and missile capabilities have suffered severe damage, while the Iranian navy has also been destroyed.
The president claimed that 46 Iranian naval warships have already been destroyed and are now lying at the bottom of the sea.
He said the world is currently witnessing one of the most difficult military operations, “Operation Epic Fury,” which he claimed is proving even more effective than “Operation Midnight Hammer.”
Trump further said that if the United States had not acted, Iran could have acquired a nuclear bomb within two weeks, which would have created an extremely dangerous situation for the world.
The US president also criticized former president Joe Biden over the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, calling it a shameful moment in American history. He said that at that time the world was laughing at the United States, but now the country’s global respect has increased significantly.
Trump also claimed that several “terrorist leaders” in Iran have been killed and those who remain will not last long. According to him, uncertainty has also emerged regarding leadership within Iran.
He emphasized that the United States will pursue its enemies and eliminate the threat permanently. Although complete victory has not yet been achieved, he said, the attacks will continue. However, he clarified that no decision has been made yet to send US ground troops into Iran.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps responded strongly to Trump’s statement, saying that Iran will decide when the war ends.
The IRGC said that American military installations in the region have been targeted and warned that Iran will continue its war against the United States and Israel.
