It looks like North West may be stepping into the spotlight and the family business in a major way.
According to trademark filings dated Jan. 14, Kim Kardashian has applied for multiple trademarks under the name “NOR11,” widely believed to be tied to her 12-year-old daughter. The filings suggest plans for an expansive lifestyle and fashion brand.
The applications cover a wide range of products, including dresses, footwear, loungewear, hats, watches, jewelry, handbags and cosmetic cases signaling ambitions that stretch far beyond a simple capsule collection.
North is no stranger to the creative world. As the daughter of Kardashian and rapper Kanye West, she has already shown interest in music.
In January, North shared a clip of a collaboration with her father titled “Piercing on My Hand (Ye Version)” on her Instagram Stories. The track appeared to address public backlash surrounding her dermal piercings.
“Piercing on my hand, the other holding bands,” North raps in the song. “No friends, just filter, you wouldn’t understand.”
The lyrics continue with bold lines about skipping school, new jewelry and embracing her mainstream fame a clear response to critics questioning her personal style choices.
North first sparked controversy in September when she was photographed in Rome wearing what appeared to be a dermal piercing. Critics argued that she was too young for such a modification, raising concerns about potential pain and infection risks.
Since then, she has debuted additional piercings and edgy style choices though some were later revealed to be temporary or faux.
Despite public scrutiny, North has remained unapologetic about her evolving look and creative expression.
If the “NOR11” filings move forward, the pre-teen could soon join the ranks of celebrity-founded fashion brands potentially building the foundation of her own empire at just 12 years old.
