Karachi: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) cold and arid conditions are set to dominate the city today as a thick blanket of fog continues to engulf urban areas, compressing visibility to nearly 2.5 kilometres and disrupting early-morning movement.
The mercury dipped to a minimum of 13°C, while daytime temperatures are forecast to hover between 22°C and 25°C.
Humidity levels remain elevated at 86 percent, intensifying the chill factor and lending a damp edge to the winter air.
PMD officials confirmed there is no immediate likelihood of rainfall. Gentle northeasterly winds, clocking speeds of around 6 kilometres per hour, are prevailing, sustaining the prevailing cold spell and stabilising atmospheric conditions across the region.
